Shasta von Sontra is a beautiful 2 year old Shepherd mix. She’s a people-pleaser who loves all the petting and attention she can muster. Shasta has a nice thick, soft coat that people want to touch, but she’s clever and knows that being eager and ready to please is an even more effective strategy for getting praise, pets and treats. Did someone mention treats? She’s quite treat-motivated, even though she accepts them very politely. Likely housebroken, she also knows when to sit and when to down and, with her good energy, she’s keen to learn more and do more.  She does well on leash, happy and excited for her walk. She accepts the other dogs along for the walk, but her attention is for the human handlers and she stays close to them. (She's a no for cats.) Shasta is comfortable in play groups, alert and curious to explore the yard. Off-leash she is more interested in meeting the other dogs, as long as they are not the pushy personalities.
